| Pastor Gary has been in the ministry for twenty-five years. He began his ministry as a Youth Minister and later, God moved him into the role of Pastor. He Pastored Windom Baptist Church, Texas, for two years, College Heights Baptist Church, Chandler, for two years, Payson First Southern Baptist for seven years and currently is in his fifth year at the Heart of Mesa. He served five years as Police Chaplain in Payson, AZ and has also worked as a Hospice Chaplain. His role as Pastor at Heart of Mesa is best summed up by I Peter 5:2-3, “Shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly; not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock.” |

| Gary Monroe came on board with Heart of Mesa in October 2009. He serves as our Youth Pastor. He grew up in New Mexico and moved to AZ in 1999. This is not Gary's first experience with the Heart of Mesa. He served as a Youth Ministry Intern here some time ago. This is where he met his beautiful wife Cheryl. | Tom Trujillo serves as the Heart of Mesa Office Manager. He is in charge of running the day to day business and operations of the church. His career as an administrator gives him the skills and talents necessary to manage the diverse ministries within the church. He is bilingual in both English and Spanish and not only serves as the Office Manager but Sunday School teacher, New Members Orientation, bookkeeper, business meeting facilitation, and he even finds time to lead worship in our early service. |

| Debra "Deb" Candler serves as Administrative Assistant for the Heart of Mesa. Whether its on the phone, via mail, or online her bright and cheerful encouragement is a blessing to members. She loves photography and graphic design and also serves in the Media Arts ministry where she helps connect the day to day needs of the church and ministry leaders. |
